Although these are very safe today, there are still a few women who do not decide to have their breasts corrected with silicone implants.
There are suitable alternatives for this: The increasingly popular method is the use of autologous fat. This is used for buttock correction and other contouring and for wrinkle injections.
Even if there are no large scars, this is still a surgical procedure. Breast augmentation with autologous fat also requires the fat to be removed, processed and re-injected into the desired areas.

Breast augmentation with autologous fat is an operation and should not be underestimated in the sense of a wrinkle injection.
The same rules for information, preparation for surgery and sterility apply as for all other plastic surgery procedures.
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia. We only make exceptions for very small injection volumes.
We will first perform liposuction on you, which should result in at least the amount we would like to inject into your breast. These quantities are usually 100-400 ml of autologous fat per breast.
If we were to inject too much fat into a very small breast, it would not heal because the fat cells would not find a connection to the blood vessels and would die.
We then pass the autologous fat through a filter in a closed system so that blood, wound fluid and tumescent solution are separated. We then fill the purified fat into a syringe and inject it into the breast via a small puncture.
Accurate and symmetrical injection is crucial for a beautiful result.
Frequently asked questions about breast augmentation with autologous fat
How much autologous fat heals with this breast augmentation method?
In general, we assume that approx. 40-60% of the transplanted material heals in the breasts.
However, this depends on various factors. In our experience, the smaller the breast and the more tissue is injected, the less will heal.
The fat must also be well processed. If a lot of blood and tumescent solution is added to the autologous fat, the actual amount of autologous fat is less.
Does breast augmentation with autologous fat have to be repeated?
This depends on the individual patient. In principle, the treatment does not need to be repeated if you are satisfied with the amount of breast enlargement.
If you would like more or would like to achieve a fairly large volume from the start, we can repeat the breast augmentation.
Is it possible to suction out more fat than is needed for the breast during the operation?
Yes, we can actually perform more extensive liposuction. Our patients often come to us primarily for liposuction and then ask if we could inject the fat into their breasts.
However, we would then point out that there may not be enough material available for further treatment if the patient wishes to have another autologous fat transplant.
Can I have a cup correction with autologous fat at the same time?
The answer is no, even if it were theoretically possible.
Butt augmentation with autologous fat is becoming increasingly popular in Germany and is already very popular in Brazil and the USA in particular. This is why the procedure is called the “Brazilian butt lift” after its roots.
The problem with combining autologous fat transplantation on the breast and buttocks is that you cannot lie on the areas into which the autologous fat has been transferred. Therefore, plastic surgeons cannot treat both regions at the same time.
How is the follow-up treatment carried out after breast augmentation?
Similar rules apply to post-operative care after breast augmentation with autologous fat as for breast surgery with implants. A well-fitting bra is important postoperatively.
Sports activities should be suspended for at least six weeks.
Sleeping on the breast causes the transplanted autologous fat to slip after the augmentation operation, which is why we advise against it.
As far as pain is concerned, less pain medication is required than for breast augmentation with silicone implants.
Is breast augmentation with hyaluronic acid possible?
For several years, breast augmentation could be performed without surgery using Macrolane™. However, the highly cross-linked hyaluronic acid can no longer be used for the breast.
