How do chin wrinkles develop?

The chin folds are located in the central chin area. They are visible in the child’s ‘pout’. In adults, they are part of the facial expression of ‘non-belief’ and aggressiveness.

They are formed by the chin muscle (mentalis muscle). With dry and sun-damaged skin and frequent activity of the chin muscle, these wrinkles can become clearly visible.

Treatment via Btx

Btx is ideal for treating these facial wrinkles. The Bttx is injected into the chin muscle causing the wrinkles and paralyzes it.

The effect of Btx treatment lasts for around three to five months. We can then repeat the therapy if desired.
