Il est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement bien encapsul\u00e9 et se trouve le plus souvent dans les tissus adipeux sous-cutan\u00e9s (abdomen, dos, bras, jambes, cou, t\u00eate). Cependant, le lipome appara\u00eet \u00e9galement dans les muscles, le thorax (dans le m\u00e9diastin) et la cavit\u00e9 abdominale. Les organes peuvent \u00e9galement \u00eatre touch\u00e9s. En principe, il peut se d\u00e9velopper partout o\u00f9 il y a du tissu adipeux. Si plusieurs lipomes sont pr\u00e9sents, on parle de lipomatose.     <\/p><p>Le lipome a de nombreux visages au microscope. Nous ne nous y attarderons pas ici. Cependant, il convient d&rsquo;en mentionner bri\u00e8vement quelques types : Angiolipome, lipome pl\u00e9omorphe, myxolipome, lipome \u00e0 cellules fusiformes, fibrolipome, myolipome, etc.  <\/p><p>Le lipome doit \u00eatre distingu\u00e9 du <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yuveo.de\/fr\/op\/corps\/lipoedeme-duesseldorf\/\">lipoed\u00e8me<\/a>, dans lequel l&rsquo;augmentation de la graisse n&rsquo;est pas d\u00e9limit\u00e9e, mais se limite n\u00e9anmoins g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement aux zones typiques des jambes et des bras.<\/p><p>Quand faut-il faire enlever un lipome ? Chaque fois qu&rsquo;il devient g\u00eanant et qu&rsquo;il montre une tendance \u00e0 la croissance. M\u00eame en cas de doute sur sa b\u00e9nignit\u00e9, le lipome doit \u00eatre op\u00e9r\u00e9. Un lipome ne peut \u00eatre diagnostiqu\u00e9 avec 100 % de certitude que lorsqu&rsquo;il a \u00e9t\u00e9 envoy\u00e9 \u00e0 un pathologiste et examin\u00e9 au microscope apr\u00e8s son ablation.
