overuse!<\/strong>  Reduce trigger to zero!<\/li><li><strong>Elevation<\/strong>: The hand should be kept above the level of the heart to ensure improved blood and lymph drainage. If this is not done, the tissue water will accumulate in the hand and lead to increased swelling. The hand can also be stretched completely above the head for one to two minutes several times a day.  <\/li><li>Elevated positioning is also extremely important <strong>at night<\/strong>. The hand can lie on the stomach or on a folded pillow. <\/li><li><strong>Cooling<\/strong> leads to a reduction in swelling.<\/li><\/ul><h3>Medication and ointments<\/h3><ul><li><strong>NSAIDs<\/strong> = non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs reduce pain and swelling.<\/li><li>NSAID ointment to reduce pain and swelling.<\/li><li><strong>Zinc ointment<\/strong> has a cooling effect.<\/li><li>As a herbal remedy, <strong>arnica<\/strong> reduces swelling.<\/li><\/ul><h3>Injections for tendonitis<\/h3><p>At an advanced stage, our D\u00fcsseldorf team recommends considering an injection in the tendon sheath area to break the vicious circle and possibly avoid surgery. Caution is advised in the vicinity of nerves. <\/p><ul><li><strong>Local anesthetics<\/strong> usually only lead to short-term improvement.<\/li><li><strong>Corticoids<\/strong>: They are very
