The eyes and the entire face appear much more alert. anesthesia\/anesthesia<\/h3><p><strong>Eyelid correction<\/strong> of the <strong>upper eyelid<\/strong> can be performed <strong>on an outpatient basis<\/strong> and <strong>under local anesthesia<\/strong>. <strong>Twilight sleep<\/strong> (sedation) is also possible and is certainly more comfortable for most patients. <\/p><p>In the case of <strong>lower eyelid correction<\/strong> or the combination of upper and lower eyelid lifting, an additional <strong>twilight sleep<\/strong> is strongly recommended. In exceptional cases, it is also advisable to perform eyelid surgery <strong>under general anesthesia<\/strong>. <\/p><h3>Operation time<\/h3><p>The <strong>operation time<\/strong> for <strong>an upper eyelid lift<\/strong> is <strong>30 to 45 minutes<\/strong>, depending on the findings.<\/p><p>At least <strong>20 to 30 minutes more<\/strong> must be factored in for the <strong>lower eyelid lift<\/strong>.
