play a special role in the operation. This is because they are also lifted during the procedure. <\/p><p>On the one hand, this involves the <strong>soft tissue<\/strong> (cheeks), which have sagged due to ageing and the disturbing &#8216;bump&#8217; on the edge of the lower jaw. The second is the <strong>bony part of<\/strong> the cheek, which also sinks with age. <\/p><p>There are various ways to correct these signs of ageing with a facelift, including the so-called <strong>midface lift<\/strong>. However, the classic facelift can also be improved with various forms of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yuveo.de\/en\/op\/head\/cheek-correction\/\">cheek correction<\/a>. This information applies to the normal case: medium and lower facelift. <\/p><p>The procedure takes about <strong>2 to 3 hours<\/strong>. It can be performed under <strong>local anesthesia<\/strong> with <strong>twilight sleep<\/strong> or under <strong>general anesthesia<\/strong>. An <strong>inpatient<\/strong> stay of 24 hours is recommended. The hair can be washed after just 2 days.   <\/p><h3 class=\"et_pb_code_inner\">Course of the incision<\/h3><div class=\"et_pb_code_inner\"><p>The standard incision line for a facelift begins in the hairy area of the temples and runs directly in front of the ear to the earlobe.<\/p><p>The incision is then continued on the back of the ear and ends in the hairy neck. The extent of the incision depends on the excess skin. <\/p><p>The basic principle is, as always in plastic surgery: as few incisions and scars as possible, but as many as necessary. It is important to use a delicate, well-stabilizing suturing technique that is as inconspicuous as possible. <\/p><p>The standard incision for a <strong>midface lift<\/strong> is similar to that for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yuveo.de\/en\/op\/head\/eyelid-correction\/lower-eyelid-lift\/\">lower eyelid correction<\/a>.
