reduction).<\/strong><\/p><p>In most cases, it refers to the reduction of the labia <strong>minora<\/strong> (labia <strong>minora<\/strong> ).<\/p><p>However, occasionally the <strong>outer<\/strong> labia are enlarged and can also undergo surgical correction (labiaplasty, labiaplasty correction) at the Yuveo Clinic D\u00fcsseldorf.<\/p><ul class=\"list\"><li>Approximately 63% of women who undergo labiaplasty do so for <strong>functional<\/strong> reasons, 37% for purely <strong>aesthetic<\/strong> reasons.<\/li><li>In a Dutch study involving almost 500 women, the following figures were recorded:<br><ul class=\"list\"><li>95% of participants examine their labia frequently.<\/li><li>43% found the appearance of the labia important.<\/li><li>95% of participants have heard of the class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Intimate surgery on the labia minora<\/h3><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix\"><p>Before labia reduction, we <strong>mark<\/strong> the <strong>excess skin<\/strong>, which can vary greatly from person to person. It can extend from the anal area to the clitoris and is usually not symmetrical. Our intimate surgeons therefore plan the marking with particular care.  <\/p><p>After <strong>anesthesia<\/strong>, we remove the excess mucous membrane. As the corpus cavernosum is very well supplied with blood, we ensure careful and targeted <strong>hemostasis<\/strong>. To do this, we use an electric knife, electric tweezers or a laser during labia reduction.  <\/p><p>Our D\u00fcsseldorf team takes particular care not to cauterize too much tissue, as otherwise more tissue could be lost, which would make the labia too small in the end.<\/p><p>Finally, we suture the wounds with a self-dissolving suture. After healing, the <strong>scar<\/strong> is <strong>almost or no longer visible<\/strong>, as mucosal tissue has an extraordinary regenerative capacity. In this respect, the sutures heal practically scar-free after this intimate surgery.  <\/p><h3 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Reduction of the labia minora (labia majora)<\/h3><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix\"><p>In principle, the same things described in the last paragraph about intimate surgery apply here. The difference is that the incision is made in such a way that the <strong>scar<\/strong> lies <strong>between the labia minora and labia majora<\/strong> and is therefore no longer visible. <\/p><p>Reduction of the labia minora is practiced <strong>much less frequently<\/strong> in intimate surgery than correction of the labia
