There are various options for surgical face lifting<\/strong>, also known as a facelift<\/strong>. The most important plastic surgery techniques are briefly presented here. <\/p>\n

When medical laypeople use the term facelift, they usually mean a facelift<\/a><\/strong>. Depending on the incision technique, this method can be used to tighten the cheeks, sagging cheeks, nasolabial folds and, in the case of a lower facelift, the neck. <\/p>\n

Accordingly, a distinction can be made between the middle, lower and upper facelift. The latter is the same as a forehead lift. <\/p>\n

Facelift – “Mini”<\/h2>\n

The mini facelift<\/strong> is the little brother of the facelift. Here, the scar is smaller but the tightening of the face is less pronounced. This method of facelifting can also be used to tighten the cheeks, sagging cheeks and nasolabial folds. <\/p>\n

However, the effect on the neck is poor – even though the overall length of the incision does not change much compared to a classic facelift.<\/p>\n

Forehead lift<\/h2>\n

The forehead lift<\/strong><\/a> is the method of choice for significant and disturbing wrinkles on the forehead. Depending on whether the forehead is large or rather small, the incision is made at the hairline or in the hairy area. <\/p>\n

What is a neck lift?<\/h2>\n

A face lift on the neck is<\/strong> called a neck lift<\/strong> or simply a neck lift.<\/p>\n

The neck lift<\/a><\/strong> is often performed in the form of a lower facelift if the sagging of the neck is not yet too advanced. If the sagging is severe, there are other neck lift methods that can involve additional incisions under the chin and, in more severe cases, over the larynx. <\/p>\n

Also the upper eyelid correction<\/a><\/strong> and the lower eyelid correction<\/a><\/strong> are often used in combination with facelift methods and can therefore significantly rejuvenate the face overall. Especially in combination with a facelift, eyelid correction<\/a> can significantly improve the overall appearance of the face. Eyelid correction can usually be performed at the same time as a facelift. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
