However, this usually only lasts for a short time. In rare cases, the feeling of the skin can remain impaired in the long term after an extensive neck lift.  <\/p>\n<h2>Scarring disorders<\/h2>\n<p>So-called hypertrophic (excessive, bulging) <strong>scars<\/strong> are rare but, as with all operations, can also occur during a neck lift.<\/p>\n<p>We will therefore ask you before the operation whether you are prone to scarring. After the operation, movement of the scarred areas must be avoided as far as possible. <\/p>\n<h2>Injury to neighboring structures<\/h2>\n<p>With good knowledge and an experienced plastic surgeon, injuries to deeper neck structures are unlikely, but not impossible. During a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yuveo.de\/en\/op\/head\/neck-lift\/\">neck lift<\/a>, injuries to smaller superficial skin nerves can lead to impaired skin sensation. <\/p>\n<h2>Neck lift: Infections<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Due to the good blood circulation in the head and neck area, infections are rare.
