The appearance can therefore be very variable. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Amastia<\/strong> is a malformation of the breast in which the breast is completely missing. It can also occur on one side. A <strong>genetic defect<\/strong> is assumed to be the cause.  <\/li>\n<li>Breasts that are too small are referred to as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yuveo.de\/en\/lexikon\/micromastia-small-breasts\/\">micromastia<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yuveo.de\/en\/lexikon\/gigantomastia-breasts-that-are-too-large\/\">Macromastia<\/a> is a condition in which the breasts are too large.<\/li>\n<li>The term <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yuveo.de\/en\/lexikon\/gigantomastia-breasts-that-are-too-large\/\"><strong>gigantomastia<\/strong><\/a> is chosen in exceptional cases of extreme macromastia. It is the most common breast malformation and occurs in around 3% of women.
