Similar to liposuction of the face<\/a>, knees<\/a> or ankles<\/a>, liposuction<\/strong> of the armpit fat<\/strong> is also a special region<\/a>. Nevertheless, it is performed because correcting the armpits often leads to a significant improvement in quality of life. Simultaneous surgery with an upper arm lift<\/a> is also common. <\/p>\n

The removal of axillary fat described here should not be confused with liposuction (lipocurettage)<\/a>. The aim of the latter is to reduce axillary sweating (med. hyperhidrosis<\/strong> axillaris<\/strong>). This involves the correction of fat rolls<\/strong>, which mostly affect women, as they become visible in the form of lateral protrusions on the back<\/a> or chest<\/a>. <\/p>\n

What should be considered when extracting the axle fat?<\/h2>\n

Plastic surgeons often perform liposuction (= liposuction) of the underarm protrusions of the breast<\/strong> together with breast surgery<\/a>. Particularly in the case of extremely pronounced breast protrusions, it often makes more sense for a correction not to simply make the incision longer. It is preferable to remove axillary fat using liposuction, as this avoids the long scars. <\/p>\n

The cause of a fat pad on the front of<\/strong> the armpit could possibly be a lipoma<\/strong><\/a> could possibly be a lipoma. However, this benign fatty tumor, i.e. a true lipoma, would not appear on both sides at the same time. <\/p>\n

A more likely cause is probably a so-called accessory<\/strong> breast<\/strong> (= additional glandular tissue). This malformation only occurs in very few women<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

“Fat rolls” on the back of the armpit<\/h3>\n

In many cases, fat rolls<\/strong> on the back of<\/strong> the armpits are inherited or a consequence of weight gain<\/strong>. However, this often stubborn fat pad remains visible even after weight loss and is often combined with sagging skin. <\/p>\n

Excess skin<\/h3>\n

The excess skin<\/strong> must be taken into account in all the cases described. There is always the possibility that additional tightening surgery may be necessary in the region. <\/p>\n

These include the fact that, unlike with armpit liposuction, a longer scar must always be expected with this additional correction to the armpits.<\/p>\n

Aftercare<\/h3>\n

Isolated liposuction of the armpits involves wearing compression garments<\/strong> for around 6 weeks and abstaining from exercise<\/strong> for 5-6 weeks .<\/strong> If the operation is performed on several areas, an individually tailored follow-up treatment is necessary. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
