Riding breeches are located on the outside of the thigh and belong to the typically feminine fat pads or fat deposits, which have the property of storing more fat than other areas of the body. Even though saddlebags may have been a survival advantage in evolution, they are a nuisance for most women today.
The fat deposits also occur in young, slim women and can respond very poorly to diets or sporting activities.
For corpulent women, the magic formula for losing weight is: weight = energy intake : physical activity
Less food and more exercise therefore mean less weight. This is also the basic principle of all diets. However, as this often does not work as easily as one would expect when looking at the formula, liposuction is required when all measures have failed.
How is the suction of saddlebags carried out?
With small saddlebags, less effort can be expected for the surgeon and patient. The proportions achieved with liposuction are retained. What has been removed does not come back. The procedure can often be performed under local anesthesia with twilight sleep if it is only a matter of correcting small saddlebags. In cases where larger amounts need to be removed, general anesthesia is the more comfortable method of anesthesia. If larger amounts are to be suctioned or other areas are also to be suctioned, these areas cannot be made pain-free with the permitted amounts of anesthetic. Even with the thigh type of lipoedema, very large amounts often have to be removed. This can be up to 3 liters per side on the riding breeches.
As far as pain is concerned, this region is one of the less painful areas of the body, so the need for analgesics is lower.
Exercises against saddlebags
If you are afraid of surgical suction, you can try various exercises to get the problem under control.
Burning fat works with endurance training. This also applies to riding breeches. In people who jog or cycle regularly and intensively, riding breeches are at least less pronounced, if present at all.
You can also strengthen the abductor muscles. These are the muscles on the outside of the thighs that are able to spread the leg out to the side. The abductors are located directly in the area of the riding breeches. Exercises that involve spreading the legs sideways while lying or standing strengthen the abductors and burn fat.
