At the Yuveo Clinic Düsseldorf, we often need donor cartilage for cosmetic rhinoplasty in order to perform corrections. As the cartilage of the nasal septum is usually straight and quite stable, we can use cartilage grafts for various purposes.
Such cartilage transplants are often needed, for example, for saddle noses that have developed naturally or as a result of an accident, or to widen the air space in the triangular cartilage, and much more.
Cartilage grafts are also almost always required to replace reduced tissue in nasal corrections of previously operated noses. Cartilage grafts harvested from the nasal septum are suitable for the following uses, among others:
- Building up the bridge of the nose after excessive nasal hump removal
- Stabilization of the nasal framework
- As an extension of the nasal cavity in the area of the triangular cartilage
- For stabilization in the area of the wing cartilage
- Stabilization and shaping of the tip of the nose, also in isolation as part of a nose tip correction
- Rhinoplasty and stabilization
