What is a labiaplasty or labiaplasty correction?

Terminology:

The word labioplasty consists of the Latin word labium for lip and the Greek word plastikos for shaping.

Labiaplasty is also known as labiaplasty. This usually refers to the labia (not the lips of the mouth) and is therefore the same as labiaplasty.

Labiaplasty is most commonly used for labial hypertrophy, i.e. labia that are too large.

Labia reduction is usually performed on the labia minora, as these are more frequently affected by the deformity.
