Liposuction for breast reduction

Liposuction alone cannot lead to an optimal breast reduction in women. As plastic surgeons, we can reduce the weight of the breast through liposuction, but not the skin mantle. The result would be a severe sagging of the breast.

Liposuction as an accompanying measure for breast reduction

Nevertheless, liposuction can provide good results in conjunction with breast reduction. Large breasts often have a broad base, i.e. they have an extension that reaches into the armpit.

This protrusion could only be corrected during the operation by making a very long incision in the fold under the breast.

This is where liposuction comes into play, which we use either during the actual operation or after 6-12 months to reduce the breast volume without extending the incision.
