Especially with very thin lips, it is a common mistake to want to enlarge them ‘come hell or high water’. This often looks very unnatural.
Less is more here! Even with a small amount, the lip can be emphasized and not grotesquely enlarged.
This is why we also like to speak of lip contouring rather than lip augmentation.
How long does the result last?
The duration of durability depends on the hyaluronic acid injected. At the YUVEO KLINIK in Düsseldorf, we use materials for lip injections that last for around 1 year. However, there are also products with a shelf life of approx. 6 months.

If you are thinking about injecting your lips, you should first look for a plastic surgeon with plenty of experience, as a few millimetres can decide whether the result looks natural or unnatural.
Most plastic and aesthetic surgeons offer lip injections directly after the consultation.
The consultation should always include information about possible side effects, although these are extremely rare.
You can take measures beforehand to ensure that the lip does not swell too much after the injection.
There are suitable harmless medications that can be taken just a few days before treatment.
It is very important to avoid blood-thinning medication and other blood-thinning substances, as otherwise massive bruising can occur.
It is also important to know whether there are any allergies to local anesthetics. This is because the hyaluronic acid used for lip injections contains a local anesthetic to reduce pain.
How much does lip injections cost?
The costs for lip injections vary, even in Düsseldorf.
However, high-quality hyaluronic acid already has a relatively high base price, so that in Germany you can generally expect to pay around 350-550 euros for treatment with one milliliter of hyaluronic acid from experienced plastic surgeons.
If the prices for lip injections are extremely low, it must be assumed that the hyaluronic acid is of inferior quality.
